Description
The principle of magneto-elastic measurement consists of modifying the magnetic properties of a ferromagnetic material under the influence of the stress to which it is subjected and of the temperature. The technology allows non-intrusive measurement of effort or force in a cable or strand type element, elements used for anchoring geotechnical structures or supporting bridges, without affecting the corrosion protection of the measured resistance elements. The connection between the measuring element and the sensor is only the magnetic field.
The system has high accuracy and reliability because it does not contain moving elements or materials susceptible to premature aging, it is resistant to dust, vibration, water, salt water, chemical agents and radiation.
The lifetime of the sensors is longer than the lifetime of the structures.
The module allows static and dynamic measurement (together with a universal, configurable measurement module, type MON-EA8).
4, 8, 12 or 16 measurement channels can be configured.
